Summary

Youichi's life at university is going just fine。 He isn't having any trouble with his classes, he has plenty of friends, and even a cute girlfriend named Minami。 Then the day comes where he meets Misaki。 Misaki is a reserved, stand offish fellow but for some reason, Youichi can't seem to get him out of his mind。 In fact, he can't seem to stay away。 When he lands a job working in the lab with Misaki, it seems more than just the flowers are about to bloom。 But will they recognise their emotions for what they are, and have the courage to accept it?

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 wow。 I actually loved this。 didn't realize that the mangaka was the same as who did ten count。。。this was a much slower, sweeter, more romantic story。 I'm dying to know where it goes next!! arikawa is such a fluffy marshmallow and misaki is so subdued and guarded。。。I'm a little worried because so far it seems like he might have some kind of abusive relationship (recent) past, which I'm hoping doesn't become a main focus。 but there are some truly tender moments here。 wow。 I actually loved this。 didn't realize that the mangaka was the same as who did ten count。。。this was a much slower, sweeter, more romantic story。 I'm dying to know where it goes next!! arikawa is such a fluffy marshmallow and misaki is so subdued and guarded。。。I'm a little worried because so far it seems like he might have some kind of abusive relationship (recent) past, which I'm hoping doesn't become a main focus。 but there are some truly tender moments here。 。。。more

Subtle and sweet with a mysterious undercurrent of sadness, this first volume leaves a lot unanswered。 But our leads are so genuine and easy to love and Takarai's art is gorgeous as always。 I have a feeling this might be a series that's better off being read all at once, but the other volumes are not out in English yet。 Still, I'll be eagerly waiting until they are。 Subtle and sweet with a mysterious undercurrent of sadness, this first volume leaves a lot unanswered。 But our leads are so genuine and easy to love and Takarai's art is gorgeous as always。 I have a feeling this might be a series that's better off being read all at once, but the other volumes are not out in English yet。 Still, I'll be eagerly waiting until they are。 。。。more

A sweet story。 I have read it a couple of times。

So far it feels like a soft slow burn with a romantic atmosphere。 Nice and relaxing first volume, I like the mood and characters。While this mangaka has a lovely style, the art was noticeably imperfect in places, it felt like lower quality compared to their other works。

Only The Flower Knows (Vol。 1)FEB 17 20222。5 StarsBesides my initial disorientation surrounding the forgetfulness the main character experiences (explained partway into the story), which threw me in what felt like an unnecessary confusion loop, The main character comes off as quite reckless, which is never a good start for a yaoi/bl novel, and despite backstory, I couldn't get into either of the characters。 There was a good vibe going on I enjoyed (a grassy hillside scene, for example, or the aw Only The Flower Knows (Vol。 1)FEB 17 20222。5 StarsBesides my initial disorientation surrounding the forgetfulness the main character experiences (explained partway into the story), which threw me in what felt like an unnecessary confusion loop, The main character comes off as quite reckless, which is never a good start for a yaoi/bl novel, and despite backstory, I couldn't get into either of the characters。 There was a good vibe going on I enjoyed (a grassy hillside scene, for example, or the awe for nature both the characters displayed), but this was a background layer that didn't end up serving many purposes besides a common interest or somewhat coincidental co-habitation of the same workspace for the characters。 The older office man is possibly the best thing about the story (besides the nature vibes), and it would have been fun to see the author lean into that a bit more like some other works do as a good humor point。 But that's very much a side note。 Regardless of everything, the story was not the best, and I don't plan to read any more of the series。Until next time。 This is my opinion and never meant to completely discourage anyone from reading anything they think they may like reading。 Good luck and happy reading! 。。。more

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THEM

No pensé que me gustaría tanto los personajes como la trama。 Tiene una esencia especial que te hace enamorarte de cada parte, triste y conmovedora。

The art is gorgeous, but I feel like the story was a bit incoherent。 Some of the things/situations felt very contrived, even for a BL manga, and some of the storytelling just felt 。。。 messy。 Still, it was a very sweet series overall and I don't regret reading it。 3。5 stars overall The art is gorgeous, but I feel like the story was a bit incoherent。 Some of the things/situations felt very contrived, even for a BL manga, and some of the storytelling just felt 。。。 messy。 Still, it was a very sweet series overall and I don't regret reading it。 3。5 stars overall 。。。more

In August last year I have read a lot of BL mangas, a lot became favourites and this is one of those。I loved the drawing as much as the story。

[ ★★,7 / 5 ]I'm utterly confused。。。 like, they never met but how in the world Youichi dream of Misaki? HOW。Fate is definitely is not the proper answer, right? The plot feels lacking but the art is decent so I guess I'll continue reading it till the end。 [ ★★,7 / 5 ]I'm utterly confused。。。 like, they never met but how in the world Youichi dream of Misaki? Really sweet story until now。 I just want them to understand their own feelings and go with the flow。 However, I like that they are taking their time to reflect on their feelings and notice such little things (like the flower meaning or their moods)。 These meaningful details and how the emotions are reflected develops in intense feelings which I adore。

The art and everything else is fine。 But it lacks proper art sequence and a proper plot follow up。 It gets really monotonous at times。 I don't want to continue with this series。 The art and everything else is fine。 But it lacks proper art sequence and a proper plot follow up。 It gets really monotonous at times。 I don't want to continue with this series。 。。。more

I loved it。 Really, I cried with it。 It's one of my favorite mangas。 I read it twice, and that twice I felt my heart breaking。 The love story, the sensibility, the sensitive, the hurt story of the protagonist。。。 I felt all this pain but I felt all that love too。 I really recomend it。 I loved it。 Really, I cried with it。 It's one of my favorite mangas。 I read it twice, and that twice I felt my heart breaking。 The love story, the sensibility, the sensitive, the hurt story of the protagonist。。。 I felt all this pain but I felt all that love too。 I really recomend it。 。。。more

As for now it seems like an innocent romance story, but I said the same for Ten Count, and everyone knows how it ended。 Notghing much to say, it's just a kind of a love story with that veil of mystical connections Japanese authors seems to be really fond of。 Just one thing though。。。 how could a Law student be allowed to perfrom a research in what I suppose is botany and microbiology?

Beautiful art style, and equally beautiful story! This manga never fails me to make my heart go fluffy and warm。

Arikawa and Misaki are absolutely adorable。 Arikawa gives over to his feelings for Misaki so wholeheartedly, and he doesn't see it as something he should hide or be ashamed about。 Masaki is just the opposite; he has been shown most of his life that his feelings toward men are something that he shouldn't have or should just ignore。 This is such a cute story and I'm really glad that they have each other。 Arikawa and Misaki are absolutely adorable。 Arikawa gives over to his feelings for Misaki so wholeheartedly, and he doesn't see it as something he should hide or be ashamed about。 Masaki is just the opposite; he has been shown most of his life that his feelings toward men are something that he shouldn't have or should just ignore。 This is such a cute story and I'm really glad that they have each other。 。。。more

It was pretty introductory so I can't really give it a high rating since nothing happened really。 Plus, there are some moments where this "toxic masculinity", that's really present in Japan, makes the scenes kind of problematic。。。Let's see how the next two go。。。 It was pretty introductory so I can't really give it a high rating since nothing happened really。 Plus, there are some moments where this "toxic masculinity", that's really present in Japan, makes the scenes kind of problematic。。。Let's see how the next two go。。。 。。。more
